BIOS
Established in 2001, and formerly known as Home Organics, Brendon and Desirée East (also aptly known as the go-to PlantGurus amongst family, friends, and clients) specialized in the design and installation of Organic Vegetable & Herb Gardens for clients in the coastal region of Central and Southern California stretching from Santa Barbara to Santa Monica.
The business has since then expanded to include full-service landscape and design services to meet the demands of new development, real estate investments, the renovation of existing landscapes, and in general, guiding and inspiring those looking for a comforting, welcoming outdoor environment.
BRENDON EAST
Brendon East is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Horticulture Science. He is trained in core industry skills such as, Sustainable Landscape Management, Nursery Production, and Entomology and is also G3 Certified through the Green Gardens Group. He has also gained 20 years of work experience in Nursery Production and Landscape Construction working closely with his Grandfather, Edward Campbell, renowned Landscape Architect and ‘Gardenia Man’ of Coronado, CA.
Having several years of experience rehabbing homes, Brendon thoroughly enjoys the process of renovation from top to bottom — from seeing a site’s potential and turning it into a modern, attractive and functional living space — and loves to share his enthusiasm with others. Brendon’s drive for managing construction projects from scratch to completion is evident in outdoor spaces as he creates beautiful landscapes for his clients. He is very passionate about educating people about horticulture and construction and feels that the knowledge he shares is important for clients to understand so that they can make informative decisions on their project.
Whether surfing, hiking, or playing in the backyard, you can find Brendon in the outdoors getting fresh air and sunshine. And as an avid traveler, Brendon continually draws inspiration from different cultures, architectures and landscapes, and he uses it to inspire others to create unique living spaces.
