BENEFITS OF HIRING A LANDSCAPE DESIGNER
- A Landscape Designer is aware of all aspects of landscape design and installation, helping guide the client in the right direction.
- The decision-making process is more cost-effective to plan ahead on paper, as opposed to making decisions during the construction phase.
- A well thought-out plan allows the Contractor to give an accurate estimate for the project.
- A complete landscape plan is fundamental for use as a communication tool between Client and Contractor.
OUR DESIGN PROCESS
CONSULTATION
Our first meeting consists of gathering information and data about the client’s site. Typically, it is a ‘meet & greet’ session, where we have the opportunity to meet in person to get an idea of what the client envisions for their landscape. This is also a great opportunity to go over general questions about our services, and how we can creatively work through a process to meet specific needs such as a timeline and budget.
PRELIMINARY PLAN
The development of a preliminary plan will be prepared, then presented to the client at their home. This is part of the brainstorming process, and this is where creativity comes to play in all aspects of decision-making. Topics covered during this meeting include: looking at the logical and functional point-of-view for the uses of your landscape; envisioning the artistic and aesthetic appeal to create balance and flow between elements; and most importantly, discussing estimated expenses to meet your budget.
MASTER PLAN
Finally, after refining the preliminary plan, the development of a final Master Plan will be prepared and presented to the client at their home. The Master Plan will show specific names of plant materials and suggested materials and patterns for any hardscape.
